In order to optimize employment of our entrusted vessels and ensure a continuous service to our valued customers, Fisser & v. Doornum has always stood for the philosophy to accumulate vessels in chartering – and/or management pools.

Since we founded the first chartering pool ever in the 1970ies we were always able to effectively even out market variations between individual vessels to create steady and reliable revenue for each owner.

By combining vessels to a homogeneous fleet and place them in the market together, Fisser & v. Doornum successfully minimizes marketing expenses and enhances employment possibilities with first class charterers.

Our chartering strategy is to establish an even balance between secured freight turnover with longterm contracts of affreightment and taking advantage of market surges by trading some percentage of our tonnage in the spot market. Thereby we minimize risk and maximize profit for the entire fleet.
